Direct real estate acquisition

=   Real estate is held directly in the name and on the account of the beneficial owner

Indirect real estate acquisition

=   Real estate is held indirectly via an intermediate legal entity owned by the beneficial owner via shares or partner’s interests

Residence permit

=   Entitlement of a person to reside in Switzerland; ownership of real estate in Switzerland does not give the respective owner any entitlement to a residence permit!
